There is often some confusion in the difference between a Free Roof Estimate and a Roof Inspection and hopefully we can clear that up.

In a Roof Estimate we identify the cause of a leak and offer a proposal/estimate of the cost to fix the leak, or we may suggest that rather than repairing multiple leaks it may make more sense to replace the whole roof and we offer the estimated cost of that. We typically give options for good/better/best situations to work with your budget and needs. Roof estimates we provide do not come with full details of the roof but rather more generalized plans and scopes of work to whatever the issue may be. We are always happy to explain our process and make sure it is communicated what expecations are for repairing your roof. How a Roof Inspection differs from a simple estimate is in expertise and time. We provide a detailed report after the inspection, outlining the findings, identifying any problems, and offering recommendations. This report can be valuable to homeowners, as it serves as documentation and provides insights into the condition of the roof. The fee charged for the inspection often covers the cost of preparing this report.

So what do we actually charge? $250

As a tidbit of added value regarding the cost: If you have us repair your roof after getting a Roof Inspection where we found a roofing issue, then we will deduct the cost of the inspection from the final repair amount. So if we proposed a $600 repair and you already paid for the $250 inspection, it would only cost you the additional $350 to get the repair done.
